I placed an order for a non prescription pair of glasses on 1/20/2019. The website showed that the item was available in 4-5 days. I opted to get the 4-5 business day shipping for $6.99 rather than the free 5-7 business day shipping so that I could get the glasses faster once they were available. After I placed the order, I received a confirmation email and a confirmation text saying that my card would not be charged until the item was shipped. Shortly afterwards, I received an email saying the item’s availability had changed to 15 or more business days. It was 1/20/2019 but my order wouldn’t be available until a date ranging from February 11 – March 4. My card had also been charged. I immediately emailed customer service to cancel the order but received no response. I then sent 3 more emails and received no response. I also tried the live chat option on ezcontacts.com but it said no one was available and to leave my email and order number then I would receive a response. Eventually, I tried calling and was on hold more than an hour. The first time I called, I was #104 in line holding for customer service. When I finally became the next person in line to be helped, I was transferred by the automated system and placed as #98 in line holding for customer service. I waited again and the same thing happened again. Currently, I am disputing the charges with my bank. I still haven’t been able to contact this website and it hasn’t contacted me either.  I have never been a person that leaves reviews of any kind online but this service was just unacceptable. I hate that I was attracted by this websites’ lower prices and would never recommend it to anyone.   

I originally priced my daughters glasses through our regular optometrist and then I checked out Lens Crafters. She needed 2 pairs which came out to almost $475. This was much more than I wanted to spend especially since I have no insurance coverage.

I then checked out EZContacts.com and found really good prices. We just got the glasses yesterday and they fit perfectly and she can see much better. We ordered the glasses about a week and a half ago. With the order we saved about $280. I am glad we were able to keep the glasses at our $200 budget.

After receiving my glasses from ezcontacts and wearing them for a couple of hours, I knew they were not what I expected and wanted to return them. 

I filled out the contact us form on the ezcontacts website to request a return. The next day I got the form emailed to me.

A customer service rep also called to follow up to see if he could help. I explained the issue and he offered some advice but in the end agreed the return option was the best.   I felt that customer communication was excellent.

I filled out the form and returned the glasses. The same day I ordered another pair based on some suggestions from the customer service rep and the new pair was perfect.

Don't expect anything on time or to be able to reach customer service, you will sit on hold for hours to be disconnected, chat will disconnect you when you ask for a manager to contact you, and don't dare complain that no one told you your stuff was on back order and it would be over a month before you received it ! ! !

I received the RX sunglasses but had difficulty seeing with them so I brought them to my optometrist and asked them to test the lenses. They confirmed that the rx is correct but that the lenses are made out of a material they haven't seen before and there are major waves and distortion in the lenses. She had trouble reading the Rx due to the waves and said she has never seen this material lens before. This explains why I'm having a hard time focusing and everything seems too far or too near. I contacted EzContacts requesting a refund or replacement if they'll use the correct material and eliminate the waves. I had to send 4 emails over 4 days before receiving a response days later. I was given a canned response explaining how to return them. No explanation or offer to replace or exchange them. I then responded asking for a return shipping label due to to defective lenses (per their terms and conditions on their website, they supply a return shipping label for defective items), as well as an update on the other glasses in my order which I  asked to cancel once witnessing the poor quality of lenses of my sunglasses, but I didn't get a response. A day later I received a response that my other pair of glasses had shipped despite requesting to cancel them 4 days earlier. Another day later I received a response to my email saying that I should upgrade to $29 Polycarbonate lenses to prevent the waves but a supervisor said they would do them for $20. I don't need polycarbonate lenses because my prescription is minimal (—1) meaning my lenses aren't thick, especially in wayfer style frames. I Also don't need impact resistant lenses as I would rarely wear the Rx sunglasses. Instead of making the situation right and fixing the problem on my $350 order, they're wanting me to pay return shipping for their incorrectly made, defective lenses, and either a restocking fee or a fee to upgrade my rx sunglasses lenses to polycarbonate that I don't need - also confirmed by my optometrist and a second opinion. I'm furious as I've ordered contact lenses from EzContacts for years with no issues whatsoever. Now I have to wait till January 25th to receive the other glasses in my order to find out if the lenses were made correctly and out of a suitable material. I place my order December 31st. 26 days is too long. I spend about $400 to $600 annually on my contacts and glasses and EzContacts has officially lost my business forever. Never again.
