Very Bad Customer Service for Returns

Customer Service is really bad, took two weeks of emailing them back and forth to get a return figured out. Main issue is that the people answering the emails and calls are not authorized to do anything and have to "put in a request" to fix anything. This took multiple people and days for each question. When I finally got a manager involved they issued a return for the wrong order. I reordered with EyeBuyDirect.com and have a much better experience without the games of "coupons" to get the price where it should be anyway.

I've had an overall poor experience with GlassesUSA. Beginning with trying to jump through hoops to obtain my glasses after calling customer service to have my shipping address changed due to a sudden move, being told that the changes would be forwarded to the shipping department, then watching my tracking info several days later show that my glasses were being shipped to my Ex's home. I contacted customer service again several times to explain that I had changed my shipping address (and also billing address which they sure got that one right) and that my glasses were shipped to a home in a different state than myself to no result. I stopped receiving updates on the progress of my service ticket. I turned to my last resort of contacting my Ex's family to have them ship the glasses to me. Arriving extra bubble-wrapped and safe (The original packaging still sealed), I began wearing one pair, storing the other away for when I'd want to change pairs. Today I just pulled the stored pare out of their case to find that the frames had broken in two different places and are entirely unusable. I will not be purchasing anything from GlassesUSA in the future.

I ordered glasses 10/23; 10/24 they sent me an email detailing the timeline which stated my glasses wont ship for 5-7 business days. I had paid expedited shipping which meant I expected to receive them within 5-7 days. They weren't going to here in time for a vacation and then I have an appointment to update my rX so I figured we may as well cancel and I'll order when I get back. On 10/24 I cancelled. On 10/24 I received an email from their customer service team telling me I need to fill out RMA I can get refund or credit and have nothing to return since they aren't made. I said ok, I'll take store credit since I was going to order a new pair anyway. On 10/29 I received a shipping notification. I called and spoke to 2 people who both said they were made and shipped and I have to return them if I want my refund. I explained they were never supposed to have been made in the first place. They admitted it was their fault, still won't refund or credit and now I have to pay for a shipping label back. They BOTH admitted it was their system's fault and still refuse to offer even halfway decent customer service. Filed a chargeback with my bank and will never order from these people again. 
Bottom Line
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

OMG - this place has a feel of bait and switch all over it. 
But not before you purchase - they will be very nice to you - yes sir we price-match the frames - no issues. 
Guess what - they dont. Here is the thing - you go for prescription sunglasses, and pay separately for prescription lenses - regardless of original lenses on said sunglasses.  SO say you select model xxx ray-ben, brown, Large, with polarized lenses, all good, now you add prescription lenses(for which you pay separately), ok. Now you go find a competitor with same model xxx ray-ben, brown, Large, with polarized lenses and submit for price-match - guess what, you are SOL. You get an email that your price match is not identical, because you added and paid separately for - prescription lenses. Thats a hell of a scam...
Gets better, before purchasing, I called and asked if they would pricematch original glasses if I add prescription lenses - the answer was - YES. so forget about it - dont even bother with theses scammers. GlassesUSA - what a shame.

Overall the glasses are good from Glasses USA and  the prices but I have a real issue with customer service and returns. 

I ordered 2 pairs of glasses, 1 for distance and 1 for reading. The frames are the same but I had chosen a different color of frame for the reading glasses so I could easily tell them a part. I placed my order and received it the following week. The prescription of the glasses was correct but I ended up with the same frame color. One should have been blue and the other one green.

I returned my reading glasses and asked to put the original lenses into the correct green frames. It took weeks for GlassesUSA to reply and confirm the frames I wanted. I replied with what I had said in my email and filled out the return form. A few more weeks go by and they said their was a mistake as they don't have that frame color anymore. I told them to just return my reading glasses as is in the original frames as having both frames the same color is not the end of the world.

In a week I get an email saying they are making my glasses and are almost done. Okay I though this is a little weird as they should just be mailing back my glasses. I waited a bit more and finally got my glasses back but they sent a pair for distance and not my reading ones. I called several times explaining the issue and finally got an email from the returns department saying I can't return them as it is beyond the 14-day return period as per their return policy.

Grrrr... I am sure disappointed as now I am stuck with 2 identical pairs of glasses and not the reading ones I needed. At this point I don't think it is worth fighting over as customer service seems to have real problems understanding instructions.

The glasses I did get are fine and look good but the one pair is not what I originally ordered. If by chance you have to deal with GlassesUSA returns department I wouldn't bother.
