If you’re like me, the prospect of waiting for a STD test is a mind numbing and horrifying experience. So STDcheck is some thing of a godsend, because the results come quicker than usual exams. The process was very easy, and I found out that the price on offer (199, 158 with coupon) is on the cheaper side for a 10 panel. However not all of the experience was perfect. For example, I purchased expedited results and had expected them next day after my specimens were dropped off. But instead, it was closer to 36 hours. In fact they came to me at three in the morning, which was good for me because I work overnight, but for most people that would push the results to the 48 hour mark. I’m sure I got the results early in the morning because of the purchase. Still, it does make me wonder if the $50 expedited fee was worth it.

I don’t know if in the future I will be using this service, just because it is particularly cost prohibitive and I actually found out later and STD check would have been free my next gyno exam. But I do appreciate the fact that if I were to come back positive it would not reflect on my medical history. I appreciate that level of privacy. On the flipside, it is sort of bizarre that they ask you to review this service possibly on Facebook, undermining a lot of the confidential aspects of getting an STD test in the first place. more ironic than anything else. If you are in a bind and think that you might be infected, and you want to know for sure as quick as possible and don’t want to alert your healthcare provider, this service might be your best bet.

Great privacy. No one knows at the lab what type of test your getting and my family doctor will never find out about it. Just what I wanted.

It cost more than I was hoping but it's a one off and I shouldn't need to get it again as I plan to be way more careful. Glad I found stdcheck or I may have decided not to get tested for stds. Was just happy to get it over with. 

Had a little scare in December and wanted to find out sooner than later since my doctor is away on vacation during the holidays. Got my results in 3 days. Been to the lab before so that wasn't a problem. Experience of purchasing was fine since I went for all the tests. Was a little expensive but at least it was something I didn't have to worry about especially during the holidays.

This is a good site to use if you just want to get some casual STD results and are not in a panic or crisis.  It's easy to choose which test you want, choose a location, and get the blood work or urine test done. There is false advertising on the website though, as no test takes only 24 hours to get results. The actual timeframe is 2-3 business days (not including weekends or holidays) for test results and 2-4 business days for the HIV RNA result.  For example, if you go in to give blood/urine on a Monday, then Tuesday is considered your actual test day and Wednesday would count as your first business day. Although the website will tell you 24 to 48 hours there is no instance where you will get results in that timeframe. The first time I had an HIV fourth-generation test the results took three business days.  The second time was an HIV RNA test and it took five business days  You don't find this out however until after you've already paid and tested, which is why I am telling you now In case you're in a hurry for results.
