HelloFresh

There are many things I like about Hello Fresh. The condiments and meat quality are good but I find issues with the quality of the greens. I find myself having to replace something every other week or so in the ingredients sent to us in the meal kit because it has gone bad.

I have gotten a discount when I complained to the Hello Fresh customer service for the next week which is good but I wish it didn't happen so often.

If they fixed this issue the service would be really good. I see that some other reviewers have experienced the same problem but not everyone seems to have the issue so I am not sure why it happens. Maybe it is the distributor where Hello Fressh is getting their veggies from???

My family and I am enjoying both the meat and vegetarian dinner options that hello fresh has. It has been great to be eating healthier and not relying on take out so much. I work shift work and my 2 kids play a lot of sports so I am always in a rush to get dinner ready. With hello fresh I know the dinner selection will always be good and I can have it ready usually in just over 30 minutes so I don't worry what they send me. 

It's nice to have a home cook meal with recipes and instructions that are really simple to follow. My grocery shopping time has been cut in half as I just worry about breakfast and lunches for the most part now.

I was given Hello Fresh as a gift a few months ago and I have enjoyed it ever since. My girlfriend and I get a box every week with 3 dinners. Our first month after the gift card ran out we got $40 off which was an added bonus. Meals take us usually 45 minutes to prepare and not the 30 Hello Fresh seems to suggest but that is okay as both of us prep and cook the meals as it is a time we enjoy together.

The ingredients have always been fresh and I like the balance Hello Fresh has of meat and vegetables. So far all the recipes have been good and not to hard to make for our level of cooking skill which I say is average. The box always arrives on time which our doorman receives and puts aside for us. All in all it is a good service and those interested in trying out new recipes every week will enjoy it.

This is the first meal kit delivery service I have tried. Our neighbor up the street uses Hello Fresh and recommended it. I knew what I was getting into so I wasn't surprised about how the meals came or what type of recipes to expect. I really didn't look at any other meal kit delivery companies so I don't have a real comparison but, I do like Hello Fresh and plan on to keep using it.

The meat and vegetables are always fresh when delivered and just as high quality as our local grocery store. I like the variety of recipes and I enjoy cooking different meals. My 2 kids who are age 10 and 12 have liked most meals as well. The recipes are kid friendly and not super spicy which is important.

I have been using Hello Fresh for a month now so that is 3 meals for 4 weeks which is 12 in total so I think that is enough experience to write a review.

My main complaint is 2 times my meals was missing 1 ingredient. Sour cream in 1 and cheese in the other. Quality control really needs to double check the boxes. Good thing I had them on hand or I would have been more angry. This is the main reason for my lower score.

I also think they should cut down on all the chopping and other prep things you need to do. I am looking for a good nutritious home cooked meal that doesn't take to long to prep or use to many dishes. Some of the meals are definitely not a time saver after you include all the washing of the pots and bowls you have to use. 

I really wanted to like meal kits and Hello Fresh... now I am not so sure I do.
