Reply: Broken Resistance Mechanism on Elliptical

I recently bought a used Body Rider Dual Trainer Elliptical. My toddler went ham twisting the resistance knob, and when I subsequently went to lower the resistance, I heard/felt something break as little pieces under the knob went flying.
Is it worth trying to fix/replace those parts?
