Reply: Norton and Symantec Software Security Flaw Found

Thanks for the warning. I had already updated my Norton Security but I didn't know of the security flaw. Of course Norton didn't send us any message notifying of the potential security risk in their own product. They should of. That is a bad business decision on their end.

I have never had problems with Norton before I may have to reconsider my subscription next year if they continue to hide these type of major problems...

Those of you who use antivirus and security software from Norton and Symantec should read this post about the security flaw a Google Security Team found which affects all versions of their software.

The U.S. Department of Homeland Security notified the public about the flaw which can allow hackers complete access to computers and networks which have Symantec and Norton security software installed.

The issue has been fixed and it is recommend to update any Norton and Symantec software you have installed on your PC or Mac to the latest version right away.
