Reply: HostPapa and PHP

I have the same issue and just emailed HostPapa support about it. No where on the Hostpapa website or customer support pages do they talk about versions of PHP. This is very annoying. Here is my current setup that I copied from the Control Panel:

Hosting Package CA-WH
Server Name hp201
cPanel Version 58.0 (build 43)
Apache Version 2.4.23
PHP Version 5.6.28
MySQL Version 5.6.33
Architecture x86_64
Operating System linux

I have been with HostPapa for a number of years now and have found them to be safe and generally reliable.

A php update would be good though. My Hostpapa account only has PHP 5.6 and I want to use PHP 7 as I heard it is a lot faster. Does anyone know if Hostpapa plans to update there PHP anytime soon?
