EzContacts Home Page

Popular online eye wear retailer EzContacts does not just carry contact lenses, they also sell prescription eyeglasses and sunglasses. Launched in 2005 originally as EzContactsUSA.com they have been selling eye wear for over a decade to customers all over the United States and Canada.

A lot of the products EzContacts sells they stock, including contact lenses brands like Acuvue, Proclear, SofLens, Air Optix, PureVision, and Biomedics. So processing is quick and your order is delivered to you as soon as possible. Frames that EzContacts stocks includes Oakley, Nike, Ray-Ban, Disney, Caviear and other name brands. You will also find top quality lenses for these frames by popular brands including Crizal, Varilux, and Transitions. Prescription lenses are created at the state of the art Essilor lab by their trained technicians.

What EzContacts is known for above all else is their prices. They are some of the lowest on the internet and EzContacts offers a Price Match Guarantee to back this up. All products are guaranteed to be the lowest prices online (seller must be an authorized retailer), or they will refund the difference and beat the competitor price by an additional 5%.

Frames

Thousands of frames are available from EzContacts. There are over 40 brands which come in all sort of different colors, shapes and sizes. From the home page main menu options you can select what type of frames you want (regular eyeglasses or sunglasses). From within your menu selection you can pick the frame shape you want or the brand. Your menu selection will bring you to the frames search gallery. Down the left side you can select the type of frames you like. This includes filters for: gender (men, women, and children), price, frame shape, brands, frame type (full, rimless, and semi-rimless) and size. In the gallery itself the frames are listed based on your filters. Each frame available shows a picture, the colors available, the model, the price, and a customer rating (if available).

Once you select the frames you want you can then move on to selecting the lenses you need.

Lenses

For lenses if you wish you can opt for non-prescription options like display lenses (manufacturer demo lenses) or Non-Corrective (Plano) lenses. Plano lenses do not offer any vision correction and are mainly used for fashion purposes. With Plano lenses you can add anti glare and scratch coatings at an additional cost.

For prescription lenses their are 3 types: Distance, Reading, and Progressive / Bifocal. For prescription lenses you can either import your doctors prescription or manually enter in the right and left eye prescription. Also if you have ordered before from EzContacts you can select to use the previous prescription you have entered.

The next step after specifying your prescription is to then select your lens material. Materials include plastic lenses (called CR-39). Plastic is more durable and lighter than glass and can be used for most prescription. If you have a higher prescription you may want to use a high index plastic which gives you thinner lenses. Polycarbonate lenses is the most used lens material. It is a high index plastic (refraction of 1.59) and are 10 times more impact resistant than regular plastic lenses. They are also 30% lighter and thiner than the standard plastic and keep your eyes shielded 100% from the sun's UV rays. Plastic lenses can also be easily tinted almost any color so are ideal for sunglasses as well. Other lens types includes Super Thin (45% thinner) with a refraction of 1.67, and Ultra Thin which has a refraction of 1.74. The higher the index of the lens the more it generally costs. For an extra cost with lenses you can also get them Digitally Surfaced (better quality prescription), add ultraviolet protection (free on most lenses), and edge polishing (for rimless frames).

Once the lens material is selected you can now add a anti-reflective coating to your order if you wish. There are several types including (in order of cost and quality): Standard, Crizal Easy, Crizal Alize, Crizal Avance, and Crizal Prevencia.

The last step in your order is picking the lens color. For most eyeglasses prescription you will pick either clear, Transitions VII, or Transitions XTRActive. Transitions lenses are lenses that go automatically darker the brighter the light is. These are ideal if you don't plan on getting sunglasses. Other options included Color Tinted, and Polarized lenses which are mainly for sunglasses.

Contacts

EzContacts sells all of the top brands of contact lenses. Visit the Contacts page and you can display contacts by Brand, Manufacturer, and by Contact Lens Type (like daily, monthly, bifocal, etc.). Similarly as with frames, contacts are displayed in a gallery search view which shows an image of the packaging, the name and size of the lens pack, the cost, and a 5 star rating (if available). Clicking on the image allows you to view the details of the contact lens. From here you can add the lens to your cart and specify the prescription needed (for each eye) and the number of boxes you require.

Warranty

Full 100% refund on frames & contact lenses if returned within 30 days of delivery and include original packaging. No restocking fee. Original shipping cost and prescription lenses will not be reimbursed. Depending on the product being returned other conditions may be required.

Price Match Guarantee

If approved they will refund you the difference in prices plus 5 percent. Please check out EzContacts.com for more information.
