Fabletics is a major player in the online retail market, offering affordable and fashionable activewear to people of all sizes and fitness levels. Now, singer Demi Lovato has joined forces with the company once again to offer her own collection of activewear, Demi Lovato for Fabletics.
Lovato created a capsule collection for Fabletics in May of this year, where she offered a limited edition of clothing to inspire women to engage in fitness and a healthy lifestyle. Now, her collection includes a performance line of twelve exclusive outfits.
Lovato is passionate about female empowerment and body positivity, a mission of Fabletics as well. Her designs offer body-flattering and unique features, such as contouring waist straps, paint splatter camo and vibrant heather prints.
Fabletics Co-Founder Kate Hudson said in a statement: “Demi's strong sense of self and her passion for an active lifestyle embodies everything we at Fabletics want to share with our community. She did some great designs with really fun accents for this collection which I know our customer is going to love!"
Demi Lovato added: “This collection is inspired by my personal style – on stage, at home and in the gym, so I had a lot of fun playing with bold colors, prints, and performance elements that I love."
Lovato’s pieces include structured silhouettes with feminine touches, featuring a full assortment of tops, sports bras, leggings, outerwear and layering pieces. The collection ranges from XXS-3X and short, regular and tall lengths, and offers flexibility and support for a variety of activities and workouts. Customers can purchase complete outfits or separates.
"Fitness is very important to me," Lovato said in an interview about her new line with Entertainment Tonight Online. "It helps with my physical strength, but more importantly, my mental strength. And so being able to work out is very important to my health, and it keeps me healthy enough to maintain a long-lasting career too."
Lovato and Hudson allegedly met while both working out at the same gym. When they began working out together, Hudson approached her about creating a collection.
"Working with Kate is really, really awesome," Lovato told ET. "She's such a sweetheart. She's such a cool, free-spirited person."
As with her limited edition collection, part of each sale will be donated to GirlUp’s SchoolCycle initiative, which provides bikes, training, and tools for maintenance to girls in rural areas, so they have a safe, reliable mode of transportation to get to and from school.
The Demi Lovato for Fabletics capsule collection will be sold across 8 countries and will be available on Fabletics.com as well as in the 22 Fabletics stores nationwide starting August 16.
