Weight Watchers works as long as you put work into it. I used the iPhone app and it makes it easy for you to track how you spent your daily points. Portion control is a must though and you will be hungry at the beginning of your program.

This is my second go around with Weight Watchers. The last time I tried it I did it by myself 4 years ago and was successful in the beginning  but slowly returned to bad habits. This time around I joined with a friend and this has made all the difference as we can motivate each other to not stray from the Weight Watchers system. We are 6 months in and going strong, and most importantly loosing weight!
Pros
Point system is effective at managing what I eat
Bottom Line
Yes, I would recommend this to a friend.

The new points system is a  good program and I like that Oprah Winfrey is part of WW now. I always watched her show and I learned to trust her recommendations. The last time I had used Weight Watchers was about 4 years ago. A lot has changed with the new phone apps and I like the new smart points systems. My friend is using Weight Watchers too, and she loves how she's still able to eat whatever she wants, but on moderate base.

I have read other reviews which has complained about the automatic withdrawals. This I can understand being concerned about as I got fleeced by a online dating site a few months ago. I didn't have an issue last time with Weight Watchers and when I closed my account I was never charged anything additional. So far I have no issue this time around either.  A different friend at work recently finished up with WW and she never had a probably either so I am not to sure what some people are complaining about.

Pros
I like the new smart points system. Yeeaaa Oprah!
Cons
Rather it be free. No matter how easy diets are always hard!!!
Bottom Line
Yes, I would recommend this to a friend.

In the first 2 months I lost 6 pounds. Let me tell you those first few pounds was very difficult as your learning the new points system and cooking a different way especially with my family and my 2 young kids.

I also found that I was always hungry though that did subside the longer I was on Weight Watchers. It was worth doing for myself but you do really need a lot of will power. Since I am a single mom with 2 children I don't have time for the meetings though I do use the app for motivation reading other peoples struggles and successes.

I did find the app a little difficult to use at first but once you figure out how things work it does make sense on how things are laid out.
Pros
Recipes and point systems
Cons
Very difficult to get into at first and I was always hungry in the beginning
Bottom Line
Yes, I would recommend this to a friend.

I'm paying about $16 a month and have been happy with  how things have worked out so far. I am fairly technology friendly and am always on my phone and have it with me. That is one of the reasons why I decided to join Weight Watchers instead of another diet program. Having a well made app for my Android phone that is easy to use is important. If it is not easy to input your calories and fitness points and monitor your overall progress and weight loss then your going to be less likely to use the app and therefor the service. I am glad to say Weight Watchers has checked all the points with their app.

I am also happy to say I that since I started about 4 months ago I have lost a lot of weight and also dropped inches in my waste. I've had to buy a whole new set of clothes. I didn't think of that expense but it has been worth it! ????????????
Pros
Relatively inexpensive. App makes it much more handy.
Cons
App sometimes logs me out and then I have to go find my password again to get back in.
Bottom Line
Yes, I would recommend this to a friend.

The new Weight Watchers app and program is very easy to use.  However, I ran into several issues with the diet plan.  I used the Purple Diet plan, which emphasizes mostly zero point foods, high protien, and eating almost all non-fat.  This program however has a number of foods that simply do no belong on a zero points food list.  Foods such as fruit, brown rice, and wheat pasta are loaded with calories and carbohydrates.  You cannot eat tons of carbs and expect to lose weight.  I do not care how much fiber it has.  They also emphasize nonfat over low carb, which for many women in completely ineffective.  Any foods that are nonfat were valued at astronomical point values so it didn't make any sense to even eat them.  What ended up happening was I ate too protein, too many carbs, and too many calories.  I lost almost no weight after 2 months.  I also exercised hardcore daily and earned tons of additional points through fitness.  This however did not appear to help my weight loss plan.  I have used Weight Watchers in the past.  10 Years ago it was known as the FlexPoints program.  I lost almost 40 lbs using this old program.  It was based in simple Calories In and Calories Out.  I understand that the new program aims to help people make healthier choices, which is great, but simple not effective for everyone.  If you want to lose weight.  Simply download a free calorie counter app and count your calories and try to get some cardio in 3 times a week.  I would still recommend the program to a friend who needs to lose weight but it appears to work best for those whom are morbidly obese.
Pros
Easy to use
Cons
Not effective for all people
Bottom Line
Yes, I would recommend this to a friend.
