f I could give them no stars I would. Been waiting for a correct pair of glasses since April 14. This company couldn’t care less that they made a mistake producing my glasses the first time then instead of expedited service to correct their mistake it has now taken longer to get the second (supposed) correct pair than it took to get the first. When I called to inquire about the status and asked to speak with someone who might expedite matters I would have to wait for 24-48 hours for a callback from a supervisor. This company has had my money for over a month and I have no glasses. Complete lack of care for customer service.

The price and selection is very good at Framedirect.com for both regular eyeglasses and sunglasses. The site is very professional and has lots of help in selecting the right type of frames. The only thing that worried me was not being about to physically try on the glasses first.

One suggestion I have is that Framesdirect could put some sort of system in place where they could ship you a couple of frames and let you try them on and then return? This way you could make sure the size fits your face and that they look good on you.

I got lucky that my new sunglasses look good and fit my face well, but it they hadn't I would have returned them and wasted a pair of prescription lenses. 

Speed of shipping could improve as my order took 2 weeks for delivery. Not bad but if there is room for improvement it would be in this area.

Otherwise I had a really good experience. Frames Direct has great selection of frames and many brands. There was a lot of frames I like and it took me a while to figure out which one I should buy. I had to consult with my husband and family before my final choice.

If you have purchased glasses before that fit well, then buying online is not a problem as you just take the measurements from your old glasses and find frames in the right range for your new glasses. You can even search for frames by measurements.  All newer frames have measurements listed on the inside of one of the arms. Can I give Zero stars? I purchased Ray-Ban sunglasses from Frames Direct but I might as well have gone to the gas station to buy some $10 glasses instead. I have worn Ray Ban for years and I'm telling you, the $240 "Ray Bans" I received from this company are not the real deal. Not even close. They refuse to accept a return unless I pay $40. Huge rip off  - AVOID! AVOID! AVOID!

I usually am all about checking the reviews of companies but I didn't do that for Frames Direct as I was a bit in a rush and it was a recommendation from a friend. I needed my glasses fast, as the glasses my Eye Doctor sold me where incorrect for the third time in a row and in my angry I got a refund as I wasn't buying from him anymore.

I was a little apprehensive after ordering since I had forgotten to check the reviews (which I always do before ordering from a new online store). The whole order process is easy. Just pick out the frames you want (what a huge selection... it did take a little time). Their search tool does make it easier as it allows you to pick out what style and fit you want. All you need to do with the frames is make sure the measurements work. You can find the measurement you need from your old glasses on the inside of the frame that goes by your ear. You then pick the type of lenses you want (scratch resistant, thinner lenses, etc...) and then enter your prescription and then pay of course. In under 2 weeks I had my glasses. They fit great and my updated prescription lenses are much clearer than my old ones.

I still need a new pair of sun glasses as my current ones are almost 5 years old with a weaker prescription. I definitely plan on using Frames Direct again as I had such a great experience the first time.
